In 30 years working in personal and professional development as a therapist, coach, and mentor, I’ve worked with thousands of people who’ve held themselves back, guiding them to build confidence, assertiveness, and habits for success. Clients let go of harsh self-judgement, stress, and self-doubt.

The foundation for any shift in your life is self-awareness. From there, possibilities open up, you can build new habits, and success, as defined by you, is created.

What I’ve seen is that walking the tightrope between driving yourself and loving yourself is harder than it looks. Striving for perfection is exhausting; stretching for excellence with ease is possible. And real success doesn't happen as you juggle "all the things." It happens when you stop perpetuating a cycle of over responsibility, driven by “shoulds,” and instead allow breathing room to build your life around what truly lights you up.

What is the difference between therapy & coaching?

Therapy:

  • Therapy originates from a medical model of “What is wrong?”

  • It often focuses on healing the past and helping with an area of life where someone is suffering, has emotional pain or family problems stemming from troublesome events.

  • Therapy is useful for mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or life situations that cause persistent unmanageable stress.

Coaching:

  • Coaching originates from a sports model of “How do I improve?” It’s a partnership and collaboration between the coach and client.

  • Coaching is action oriented and strengths based.

  • People who benefit from coaching are already stable, and want guidance to gain more out of their life or relationships, create more success, and reach goals they haven’t been able to yet.
