Here is the paradox: It’s extremely difficult and so simple.
It was a topic in my boundaries group last week. How do we at times place our wishes first, without guilt.
As if, we make a choice in a moment that our wish is the priority and then we completely forget everyone else, thinking we matter most.
As if, including our desires in OUR life is selfish.
This is a made up story.
I mean, it’s an old story, and old habits die hard.
Don’t they?
Hmm, maybe. Maybe not.
What about making a new decision?
A decision that considers that guilt implies doing something “wrong” and who decided that your choices are wrong?
Can you feel the FREEDOM on the other side of letting guilt go?
Of fully, whole-heartedly embracing choosing YOU?
Look, a little bit of human guilt is hard to avoid. But if it plagues you, it weighs you down at every turn, interrupts life satisfaction, reach out and we will rewrite the old tapes.
